CCSGroup is a company located in Northern Kentucky that owns and operates several retail internet stores, plus owning stores in the CVG airport mall. This was a fun position to gain knowledge of how the internet stores achieve sales by not only advertising through email, but by also using blogs, facebook, twitter and more similar sites - not to forget the art production that goes into creating a site with interest and appeal to their customers of all ages and sizes. I was given great feedback on my services, and though the contract was not renewed, I still assist by email and/or remote connect when the occasion arises. My duties there as a contractor at first was to learn all that the previous web maintenance personnel (that still lived in Minnesota) knew. From catalog/line sheet creation of their private label brand, to an 'on/off' & NPF sheets, outlining and saving images for web, saving for hi-res and saving for press; creating email for marketing of new product and sales, and not only uploading the images of the products to the persepective sites, but also the product itself. Plus flyers for sales and banners for shows. Plus training other office personnel and temporary staff. I found the company very unique in their organizational skills and how the process of receiving new product, taken still images by digital SLR, outlining, saving to template, saving for web to uploading product, product description and images to their web sites, a very unique opportunity in the line of art production for internet retail. Just like in real print, copy and images have to be reviewed by others to be consistent in display and presentation, plus checking for spelling and grammatical errors. As in online shopping, just like a physical brick and mortar retail establishment, presentation is everything. It is what assist a shopper in purchasing an item from your store. Images are linked to a larger image that is only 72 dpi, depending on your browser type (Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer, etc), if you click on the image it will either take you to a blank page with a larger version of the image or will ask you if you want to save it.
